In its latest report (2020), Transparency International ranked Iran<\/a> at 149th out of 180 countries in terms of corruption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the report, Iran, which is still among the \u201cred\u201d countries in the organization\u2019s world map, managed to get only 25 points out of 100 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the last three years and from 2018 onwards, Iran\u2019s ranking has dropped from 138 to 146 and then to 149, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Iranian regime is among the most corrupt governments<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Transparency International has linked corruption <\/a>to the coronavirus pandemic. \u201cOur research shows that corruption not only undermines the global health response to Covid-19,\u201d the organization wrote. \u201cIt also leads to the continuation of the crisis of democracy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
