In a letter to the Australian Foreign Minister, the Australian Committee for Democracy in Iran wrote: Following the revelation of the Iranian regime\u2019s state terrorism and the sentencing of the regime diplomat and his three accomplices to prison in a Belgian court for terrorist acts and espionage in other countries, the regime\u2019s judiciary and foreign ministry have launched a counterattack against its main opposition. In a show trial, they made ridiculous, invalid and fabricated accusations of demonization against the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/a>) and the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI<\/a>) to create the conditions for violent attacks against them inside and outside the country. The Ministry of Intelligence (MOIS<\/a>) staged 42 so-called former PMOI members in this sham trial against the MEK and the leadership of the resistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Australian Committee for Democracy in Iran added: \u201cWe support Mr. Massoud Rajavi<\/a>\u2018s call for an international court following this sham trial. A trial in which regime leaders are held accountable for crimes committed against the Iranian people over the past 42 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his call, Mr. Rajavi stated that he welcomed such a trial with Ali Khamenei<\/a>, the regime\u2019s supreme leader, Ebrahim Raisi<\/a>, the regime\u2019s chief justice, Hassan Rouhani<\/a>, the president, and Mahmoud Alavi, the regime\u2019s intelligence minister. Representatives of relatives of political prisoners murdered in the 1988 massacre<\/a> and relatives of 1,500 people killed in the November 2019 uprising<\/a>, relatives of victims of Ukraine Flight 737, as well as representatives of political prisoners and ethnic and religious minorities, as well as representatives of the Iranian resistance, will appear before the International Court of Justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe once again call on you to strongly condemn the Iranian regime\u2019s terrorist operations abroad, which have increased in recent years,\u201d the Australian Committee for Democracy in Iran said in its letter to the Australian Foreign Minister. We also call on you to condemn any operation that could lead to a conspiracy or widespread attack against members of the Iranian resistance inside and outside Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
