The Iranian people are outraged over the planned destruction of the Khavaran Cemetery in Tehran by the regime, with many putting up posters or graffiti with the slogans \u201cKhavaran <\/a>is evidence of mullahs\u2019 crime\u201d and \u201cthe mullahs\u2019 regime wants to destroy the evidence of the crime\u201d in various cities across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The crime in question is the 1988 massacre of 30,000 political prisoners<\/a>, during which dissidents who had already been sentenced (or had actually completed prison sentences) were subjected to one-minute trials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These trials, ordered in a fatwa by then\u2013supreme leader Ruhollah Khomeini, were overseen by a trio of officials acting as judge and jury, commonly referred to as a death commission, and there are some recognizable names among the commissions, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
