There may officially be seven candidates running in the Iranian presidential election<\/a> this month, but the truth is that the outcome is already set in stone, according to a leading member of the Iranian Resistance. The chair of the National Council of Resistance of Iran\u2019s\u00a0(NCRI<\/a>) Foreign Affairs Committee, Mohammad\u00a0Mohaddessin<\/a>, gave a press conference\u00a0last week, in which he said that the election was a \u201cone-man-show\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After all, the only real candidate left is Judiciary Chief\u00a0Ebrahim Raisi<\/a>, who is the favored candidate of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei<\/a>, who in turn is trying to consolidate power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, Mohaddessin explained <\/a>how the regime is in a vulnerable situation right now and is facing a nationwide boycott at the polls, thanks to a brave campaign by the\u00a0People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran\u2019s\u00a0(PMOI\/MEK<\/a>)\u00a0and its Resistance Units over the past few weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
