Lulzim Basha, Chairman of the Democratic Party of Albania, addressed at the Free Iran World Summit 2021 on July 10, 2021<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/iframe>\n\n\n\nLadies and gentlemen, distinguished guests, it is my honor to address <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/2021\/07\/10\/live-report-the-free-iran-world-summit-2021\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this event<\/a> on behalf of the <a href=\"https:\/\/pd.al\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Democratic Party of Albania<\/a>, a member of the European People\u2019s Party and of the International Democratic Union. <\/p>\n\n\n\nThe Iranian people\u2019s aspiration for freedom, democracy, and respect for fundamental human rights and liberties has had and will continue to have the full solidarity and support of the Democratic Party of Albania and myself. <\/p>\n\n\n\nThe recurring acts of unprovoked aggression and violence by the Iranian government, against its own people, against its neighbors, and against the global community of nations have heard countless lives of Iranian and other citizens in the region and around the world. From torture and murder, to the violent suppression of political manifestations, to harboring aiding and launching terrorist organizations, the Iranian regime has proven that it is willing to break the most essential norms of international order at the cost of innocent lives, and regional stability. <\/p>\n\n\n\nToday\u2019s event, however, confirms that in the face of such malignant adversity, the international community\u2019s resolve to counter these threats is not weakened, but only strengthened.<\/p>\n\n\n\nThe Democratic Party of Albania has a clear and outspoken position. We <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/2020\/01\/16\/albania-expels-iran-regimes-diplomats-for-conducting-terrorist-activites\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">stand firmly against the Iranian regime<\/a>\u2018s attempts to illegal and <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/iran-state-sponsor-terrorism\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">terrorist practices<\/a> on our soil, and to its structured enterprise to export fundamentalism to Albania and to our region. <\/p>\n\n\n\nWe support the Iranian people and their goal for a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/viewpoints\/tomorrow-s-iran\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">democratic and non-nuclear Iran<\/a>. We support the Iranian people\u2019s desire for change, and commend <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/biography\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Madame Rajavi<\/a> and her efforts to offer the people of Iran the perspective of a free, secular and democratic country.<\/p>\n\n\n\nIn Albania, we know very well that the price of freedom extols a heavy toll on oppressed nations. But we also know that there is no other path towards a better future than the path of struggle for the fundamental rights of all human beings, for dignity, for freedom, for democracy, and equality before the law. <\/p>\n\n\n\nI would like to thank you,<a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/maryam-rajavi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> Madame Rajavi <\/a>and all of you for your sacrifices and efforts for a better future for all the people of Iran.
