Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at 0915 CEST, the fourth session of the trial of the executioner Hamid Noury began in Stockholm, Sweden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MEK <\/a>Supporters Demonstrated in front of the central court of Stockholm at the Fourth Session of Hamid Noury\u2019s Trial, the Executioner of the 1988 Massacre<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/iframe>\n\n\n\nThe fourth session of Hamid Noury\u2019s court is dedicated to continuing the reading of the indictment. The prosecutor began his remarks with letters from Mr. Montazeri, Khomeini\u2019s successor.<\/p>\n\n\n\nMr. Montazeri\u2019s letters were in protest of the massacre of the MEK prisoners. The prosecutor read the description of Montazeri\u2019s meeting with the death squad, quoting from his diary, and read the text of Montazeri\u2019s letter to <a href=\"https:\/\/iran1988.org\/hossein-ali-nayyeri\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Nayyeri<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/iran1988.org\/morteza-eshraqi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Eshraqi<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/iran1988.org\/mostafa-pour-mohammadi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pourmohammadi<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/iran1988.org\/seyyed-ebrahim-reissi-al-sadat-aka-ebrahim-reissi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Raisi<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\nMontazeri\u2019s letter dated August 15, 1988, was in protest of the execution of the Mojahedin. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/20V-kL1WdsA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Montazeri<\/a>: The <a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/about-iranian-opposition-pmoi-mek\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mojahedin -e-Khalq (MEK)<\/a> are a kind of ideology; killing them (is not the solution), rather they will spread.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\nThe prosecutor named numerous Mojahedin who were executed according to Khomeini\u2019s fatwa. The names of Mojahedin had been sentenced to several years in prison, but were executed.<\/p>\n\n\n\nIn another part of the indictment, the prosecutor executed political prisoners from Marxist groups and read the names of several prisoners of Marxist groups who were executed in September 1988.<\/p>\n\n\n\nIn the indictment, the prosecutor said that Hamid Noury and other accomplices were involved in the massacre of the prisoners. He also said that Hamid Noury was involved in the execution of Marxist prisoners.<\/p>\n\n\n\nFollowing the indictment, the prosecutor continued the indictment with statements by regime leaders in support of and confirmation of the executions. Among other things, he mentioned the support of the head of the judiciary and the then prime minister of Khomeini for the executions.<\/p>\n\n\n\nThe fourth hearing closed at 2:40 p.m. The fifth session of the court will be held on Friday, August 20.
