MEP Franc Bogovi\u010d from Slovenia, addressed at the\u00a02nd Day of The Free Iran World Summit on July 11, 2021<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/iframe>\n\n\n\nGreetings. It is with great pleasure that I am joined in the queue in this<a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/freeiran-en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> World Summit<\/a> through this message. The Iranian resistance had said and stood by their word for 40 years that this regime is not capable of reform from within. <\/p>\n\n\n\nYou have worked tirelessly to expose the regime\u2019s crimes, and <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/maryam-rajavi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mrs. Rajavi <\/a>has said time and again that the policy of appeasement is a failed policy and the only language the regime understands is crimes.<\/p>\n\n\n\nToday, with the coming of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/iran-ebrahim-raisi-a-mass-murderer-for-president\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ebrahim Raisi<\/a>, the regime\u2019s new president, this call has been taken seriously. The United Nations Special Rapporteur for Human Rights in Iran called on June 29, 2021, for an independent inquiry into state order executions of thousands of political prisoners in 1998, and the role played by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/publications\/special-reports\/iran-who-is-ebrahim-raisi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Raisi <\/a>as the heroine Deputy Prosecutor. This included his direct involvement in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/1988-massacre-of-political-prisoners-in-iran\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">1988 massacre<\/a> of 30,000 political prisoners, mostly by <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/peoples-mojahedin-pmoi-mek-iran\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PMOI <\/a>supporters, and also the recent arrests and killing of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/iran-protests-2019-update\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">protesters in 2019<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\nThe Iranian people demand democratic change and the establishment of a democratic republic that rejects both Shah and mullahs dictatorships. <\/p>\n\n\n\nTo their national uprising, the people of Iran have expressed these demands in their slogans. Those who invested in this regime are hoping to find moderates who cannot see the result of this simple truth. There is no moderate within the murderous dictatorships. <\/p>\n\n\n\nTherefore, knowing the merit or power, the Iranian people need to replace the mullahs\u2019 dictatorship with democracy. The alternative exists in Mrs. Rajavi\u2019s movment. Today, it is even more important that we unite behind and support the <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/national-council-of-resistance-of-iran\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NCRI <\/a>under the leadership of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/biography\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mrs. Rajavi<\/a> with her democratic platform that guarantees the rights of all citizens, regardless of their gender, ethnicity, faith or political tendency.<\/p>\n\n\n\nBe sure of my continued support for free Iran.
