Judiciary in different positions, since its inception in 1979, when he was only 19 years old, with his latest post, serving as Iran\u2019s Judiciary Chief before his inception as President.<\/p>\n\n\n\nBut he is mostly recognized for his role in the massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/iran-1988-massacre-of-political-prisoners\/the-1988-massacre-of-political-prisoners-in-iran-eyewitness-accounts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">summer of 1988<\/a>, serving as one of the four members of the \u2018death commission\u2019 overlooking execution in Tehran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\u201cThe greatest crime committed during the nationwide protests in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/iran-november-2019-uprising-and-its-amplifications\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">November 2019<\/a> and oversaw the execution and torture of detainees in the aftermath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"365\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">1988 massacre<\/a> have launched an urgent call on the international community to prosecute Raisi for ongoing crimes against humanity.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\nThe UN Human Rights Council should conduct an independent inquiry into the <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/story-of-1988-massacre-in-iran\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">1988 massacre<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/i\/iran-protests-opposition-pmoi-gas-price-hikes-day-32-20191216\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">slaughter of over 1,500 protesters<\/a> in November 2019.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\nInaction will only embolden the regime in gross violations of human rights and crimes against humanity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a
