Iranian regime president Ebrahim Raisi<\/a> will not attend the UN climate change conference in Scotland in November. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The foreign ministry spokesman said there were never plans for Raisi <\/a>to join COP26. Ironically, state media had widely publicized Raisi\u2019s invitation to the conference in June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cancellation follows global calls to prosecute Raisi for his past crimes. Raisi played a key role in the mass killings of over 30,000 political prisoners in 1988 massacre<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to jurists and legal experts, the 1988 massacre<\/a> is a genocide and crime against humanity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
