In a report to the UN General Assembly Third Committee, UN Special Rapporteur Javaid Rehman<\/a> expressed alarm about continued human rights abuses in Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rehman, who monitors human rights in Iran, described the situation as \u201cgrim\u201d and warned of \u201cpersistent impunity for serious violations of human rights law.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
