Iran: Teachers hold protest rallies in dozens of cities-Dec 23, 2021<\/sup><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Thousands of teachers gathered in Tehran, Shiraz, Mashhad, Ahvaz, Tabriz, and other cities to protest for their rights. These rallies come after the Majlis (parliament) passed a law that only addresses a small part of the teachers\u2019 needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bill also doesn\u2019t guarantee to fund the project to adjust the teachers\u2019 salaries. Iranian teachers have been protesting for months for better salaries, classification laws, and release of detained teachers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The regime has refused to address their needs. The Majlis has declared that the plan will not be reformed.
Instead, security forces have attacked teachers\u2019 gatherings and arrested several rights activists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
