My dear Iranian friends I\u2019m very happy to address this message in solidarity with the Iranian gathering that will be held in Paris on the 30th of June.<\/p>\n

In recent weeks and months we have witnessed many protests and uprisings all over Iran. We have seen workers teachers farmers students doctors nurses truck drivers taxi drivers the people of Iran and the people of Sidon and other cities nearly every sector of the Iranian society and every province of Iran has been participating in these protests.<\/p>\n

I think the message is clear. People of Iran have had enough. They want change. They want freedom they say. After almost 40 years of dictatorship it\u2019s time for this regime to go. So I think it\u2019s our duty as elected politicians in Europe to defend fundamental values and principles and put human rights and democracy as a priority when dealing with Iran.<\/p>\n

As I keep defending in the European Parliament the Iranian opposition under the leadership of Ms. Maryam Rajavi has been leading the resistance against this oppressive regime for many years. Now it\u2019s time to support their quest your quest. For a democratic Iran. I therefore huge everyone to back and participate in the free Iran rally ( Iranian Gathering )on the 30th of June in Paris.<\/p>\n

Dear Friends, I have been closely following the situation of Iran for the past few years. I am very much concerned about the Human Rights violations and the repression of #women in particular.<\/p>\n

Therefore, the resistance against the regime by the PMOI and by Maryam Rajavi for a free secular Iran has had my sympathy and support. I was therefore pleased to witness the uprising of the Iranian people in January and escalation of protests &strikes which are happening every day.<\/p>\n
