In a cross-party alliance that is rare in the United States, political and military figures in the United States have stated their opposition to removing the IRGC <\/a>from the terrorist list (FTO).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Opponents of the IRGC<\/a>\u2018s withdrawal from the terrorist list and pessimism about the future of nuclear talks<\/a> with the Iranian regime, which has stalled talks by insisting on removing its terrorist IRGC<\/a>, include senior State Department officials, members of Congress and the Senate, and senior military commanders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

House Republicans are pressing to ensure Congress gets to vote on a new Iran nuclear deal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michael McCaul (R-TX) is launching a petition to ensure compliance with the 2015 Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

McCaul: \u201cWe\u2019re drafting a discharge petition to mandate that the administration comply with the law\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

House Dems have also raised concern over the terms of the deal. 18 Democrats say the US should not enter a deal that leaves Tehran\u2019s terrorist activities unchecked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elaine Luria (D-VA): \u201cWe can\u2019t stay quiet about the unacceptable and deeply troubling turn that these talks have reportedly taken\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
