Hi. I\u2019m Congresswoman Young Kim, Representative for California\u2019s 39th<\/sup> District. I\u2019m honored to be with you virtually for the 2022 Free Iran World Summit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For over 40 years, the Iranian people have suffered under a regime that rules with no regard for its citizens\u2019 welfare and basic human rights. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, its elites continue to enrich themselves, develop nuclear weapons<\/a>, and fund terrorism and proxy wars across the region at the expense of economic opportunity and productivity for their nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I condemn the Iranian regime\u2019s human rights abuses, including state sponsored terrorism <\/a>and mass killings against peaceful protesters. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
