September 29, 2022: Protesters in at least 164 cities across all of Iran\u2019s 31 provinces have taken to the streets seeking to overthrow the mullahs\u2019 regime. Over 300 have been killed by regime security forces and at least 15,000 arrested.<\/sub><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Iran\u2014September 29, 2022: <\/strong>The Iranian people\u2019s nationwide uprising continued<\/a> on Thursday, September 29. Authorities have escalated their deadly crackdown in parallel to internet disruptions. According to information gathered by the network of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/a>), more than 164 cities across all 31 provinces have reported anti-regime protests<\/a> in this month of September, and the regime\u2019s security forces have to this day killed at least 300 protesters and arrested more than 15,000 throughout the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is worth noting that despite the deployment of a large number of security forces from the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC<\/a>), paramilitary Basij <\/a>units, plainclothes agents, and the Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS<\/a>), the Iranian people from all walks of life are steadfast in continuing their protests against the entirety of the mullahs\u2019 regime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Thursday, mass strikes were reported in different cities. In Tehran<\/strong>\u2019s Imam Hossein Square, locals closed their shops in protest to the regime\u2019s brutal response to nationwide protests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Isfahan<\/strong> too, shops were closed as people are using all their means to protest the regime\u2019s tyranny and express their desire for regime change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Protesters in the city of Mashhad <\/strong>in northeast Iran took to the streets in anti-regime protests. \u201cJustice! Freedom! Hijab should be optional!\u201d they were chanting. Mashhad is Iran\u2019s second-largest city and a sensitive area for the regime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Thursday, protests were especially intense in Qom<\/strong>. Videos show protesters resisting against security forces that were dispatched to disperse rallies. In some locations, security forces opened fire on protesters. In other locations of the city, protesters continued to chant anti-regime slogans such as \u201cMullahs must get lost!\u201d The people of Qom held their ranks against security forces by chanting, \u201cNo fear! We are all together!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Sanandaj<\/strong>, protests continued on Thursday despite heavy security presence. Protesters rallied in several locations and were chanting, \u201cDeath to Khamenei!\u201d In some locations, gunshots could be heard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is worth noting that the regime has been especially harsh in the repression of protests in Kurdish cities. However, people continue their resistance and come back to the streets every day to demand regime change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
