^{Marcin \u015awi\u0119cicki, former Mayor of Warsaw and Minister of Foreign Economic Relations of Poland<\/sup><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\nOn February 17, 2023, a grand rally<\/a> of freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the Iranian Resistance (NCRI <\/a>and MEK<\/a>) was held at Max-Jozef-Platz, in front of the security conference in Munich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Several German Parliament members and political personalities attended the rally, which addressed supporting the Iranian people\u2019s demands for freedom and democracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Marcin \u015awi\u0119cicki, former Mayor of Warsaw and Minister of Foreign Economic Relations of Poland, gave a speech to the demonstrators at the rally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n<\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A script of Mr. \u015awi\u0119cicki\u2019s speech is as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dear friends and colleagues,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We stand here today in solidarity with those brave Iranians who went to the streets to <a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/iran-protests-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">protest<\/a> against the cruelty of the Iranian regime. They are risking their lives, risking being tortured, risking being imprisoned, but nevertheless, they are fighting for a free Iran and protesting against the crimes of the regime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But this is not the first time that Iranians are fighting for their freedom. This fight has been lasting already for more than forty years. After overthrowing the Shah, the Iranian revolution was stolen by the mullahs. And this fight is already marked by many victims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We remember that in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/1988-massacre-of-political-prisoners-in-iran\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">1988<\/a>, thirty thousand political prisoners were executed. This is an incredible crime. And it is even more outrageous to see that some of the perpetrators, some of the murderers, and some of the killers are holding top positions in the Iranian regime. This cannot be tolerated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We gathered here today during the Munich Security Conference, at which the problem of Russian aggression against Ukraine will be discussed. Russians have committed incredible crimes in Ukraine. Bombing civilian objects, occupying territories, raping women, executing opposition, and deporting tens of thousands of people in unknown directions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"666\" src=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-43083\" onerror=\"this.src='https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/wp-content\/themes\/hello-elementor\/images\/broken-image-placeholder.gif';this.srcset='https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/wp-content\/themes\/hello-elementor\/images\/broken-image-placeholder.gif';\" srcset=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image-1.png 1000w, https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image-1-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image-1-768x511.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>It is not surprising that this cruel criminal and terrorist regime in Kremlin has got a new ally in the Iran regime. The Iranian regime is supporting Russians with drones, with ammunition, just to kill more people and just to continue the war in Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have to stop this. We are sometimes told that in Iran, there is no alternative to the mullahs. But there is an alternative. We have the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/viewpoints\/tomorrow-s-iran\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ten-point plan<\/a> for Iran, which is developed by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/about-ncri\/ncri\/alternative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">National Council of Resistance of Iran<\/a> and by Madam <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/biography\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Maryam Rajavi<\/a>. A plan that will bring to Iran democracy, rule of law, the abolition of the death penalty, the separation of state and religion, and a non-nuclear, peaceful country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, there is a plan. If we in the West, in Europe, in the world, if we want Iran to be a democratic country, one under the rule of law and peaceful, we should support Maryam Rajavi and those who are fighting for a democratic Iran and not those who are for the reinstitution of the monarchy or keeping the mullahs in power.
