106 United Nations experts, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and Nobel laureates jointly penned an open letter<\/a> addressed to Volker T\u00fcrk, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, condemning Iran\u2019s appointment as the chair of the UN Human Rights Council\u2019s Social Forum.<\/p>\n

Additionally, during a press conference held at the Geneva Press Club, delegates from the Iranian Resistance<\/a>, human rights activists, and legal experts voiced apprehension regarding the regime\u2019s control of the committee. They advocated for a more resolute stance against the regime\u2019s violations of human rights.<\/p>\n
