Speech by Ben-Oni Ardelean at Free Iran Gathering<\/a> in Paris<\/p>\n

Ben-Oni Ardelean<\/strong>, Vice-chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of Romania<\/p>\n

We look forward to be here with you and it\u2019s several year, since we came over here.\u00a0 And we are here on the podium with some our brothers from Moldova.<\/p>\n

We come from Romania, two former communist countries, and we very much understand what is going on in Iran right now, because we lived under those conditions.\u00a0 When people were murdered, when people were taken from their homes during the night and brought into the prison, when people were arrested all over Romania, and there were so many that suffered during the time, including my family.\u00a0 That\u2019s why we are here to say very frankly that we very much understand what is going on right now in Iran and we very much support you as an opposition, although we are from different countries, we all have to enjoy freedom.<\/p>\n

We all want to enjoy democracy, and we all want to support human rights, and we all want to support what\u2019s going on here, because we believe that we have to be a free society and we have to live under those conditions.\u00a0 I want right now to encourage you to keep going on, to keep the right track, to go farther with what you do, because we are the ones to be on the right side of the society in our days.<\/p>\n

I want to close up here and invite one of my colleague here to continue the speech.<\/p>\n
