Tunne-Kelam,<\/b>\u00a0is an Estonian politician and\u00a0Member of the European Parliament<\/a><\/p>\n

Dear friends, it is important to know that it is our common fight.\u00a0 It is not only for freedom of Iran, but for the dignity and solidarity of all of us, all European states, and all the states in the world.<\/p>\n

I visited Ashraf 10 years ago when it was situated in Iraq.\u00a0 Ashraf survived, thanks to solidarity and support. And today; there are 1,000 ashrafs in Iran, itself. And it\u2019s our job to support them.<\/p>\n

We represent here European Parliament.\u00a0 The group of friends are Free Iran, which has been there for many years.\u00a0 And we are few here, but every of 751 members of the European Parliament belongs to this group.<\/p>\n

Just a few months ago, more than 200 members of the European Parliament adopted an appeal in support of democratic change in Iran, in support of people who demonstrated even yesterday for the freedom, dignity, and social, and human rights.<\/p>\n

But our problem is that it\u2019s not everywhere the case.\u00a0 Some weeks ago in Strasbourg, High Representative of the European Union, Madame Mogherini said that there is no alternative.<\/p>\n

Those existing nuclear deal and existing.\u00a0 I think the moment has arrived to understand that we have to end the hope that butchers can become more human and civilized. We have today no choice as freely elected members of Parliament from all around Europe.\u00a0 We have one choice\u2014to support the freedom, restoration of freedom and dignity for Iranian people.<\/p>\n

I said, common future.\u00a0 Your future will be our future\u2014to live in freedom, dignity, and solidarity.\u00a0 Thank you.<\/p>\n
