In a momentous and diverse gathering, members from all political factions in the UK Parliament, alongside supporters of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI<\/a>), convened for a Nowruz celebration at the Central Hall of the House of Commons. This event featured significant addresses and speeches, including endorsements of the NCRI\u2019s Ten-Point Plan<\/a> and appeals for the blacklisting and comprehensive sanctioning of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC<\/a>).<\/p>\n
During her address to the assembly, NCRI<\/a> President-elect Mrs. Maryam Rajavi<\/a> expressed gratitude for the solidarity demonstrated by UK parliamentarians toward the people of Iran and the promotion of human rights within the nation.<\/p>\n
In the face of severe oppression within Iran, Mrs. Rajavi<\/a> voiced her optimism for the dawn of freedom in the country. She highlighted the widespread rejection of the regime by the Iranian populace through the nationwide boycott of the fraudulent elections on March 1st. This boycott, she emphasized, symbolized the people\u2019s unwavering resolve to dismantle the oppressive rule of the theocratic regime, reminiscent of their struggle against the tyranny of the Shah.<\/p>\n
Mrs. Rajavi underscored the escalating anti-regime activities within Iran, spearheaded by the Resistance Units<\/a>, particularly involving young women. She also emphasized the destabilizing influence of the Iranian regime in the Middle East, posing a significant threat to regional and global peace and stability.<\/p>\n
Advocating for a departure from past failed policies, Mrs. Rajavi urged Western governments to adopt a new approach that places trust in the Iranian people and supports the Iranian Resistance. She stressed that the time for change in Iran has arrived and reiterated the necessity for global solidarity in this endeavor.<\/p>\n
