Iran: Intense Clashes in Tehran Suburbs, Attacking Mullahs\u2019 Seminary<\/a><\/p>\n

Thousands of risen people of Karaj, especially young men and women, demonstrated in the first square of Gohardasht on Friday evening, August 3<\/a>, with the slogans of death to the dictator; death to Khamenei; our shame is our leader; dignified Iranians, support, support; Iranian dies but does not accept humility; what happened to our money? It is spent on Bassijis (IRGC militias); tank, cannon, firecracker, the mullah must get lost; we will fight, we will die, we will take Iran back! These protests continued until past midnight.<\/p>\n

Scores of Revolutionary Guards, anti-riot guards and criminal plainclothes brutally raided the protesters to crush these protests and to prevent their spread, and targeted them with exercise bullets that injured one of the young people. Courageous youth confronted the mercenaries by setting fire to a number of their motorcycles.<\/p>\n

The demonstrations of the people of Eshtehard also led to a conflict with the Basij and plainclothes murderers and anti-riot guards, after punishing the mercenaries, the young people succeeded after two hours in entering the city\u2019s seminary of ignorance and crimes and destroying its contents.<\/p>\n

\"Iran<\/p>\n

Germany tightens cash transfer rules as Iran seeks funds<\/a><\/p>\n

Germany\u2019s central bank is changing its terms and conditions to provide for deeper scrutiny of cash transfers, a move that comes as Iran seeks to repatriate cash held in a Hamburg-based bank and the U.S. presses allies to get tough on Tehran.<\/p>\n

Iran wants to bring home 300 million euros ($353 million) it has in the European-Iranian Trade Bank ahead of new U.S. sanctions. German authorities have been examining the request.<\/p>\n

Changes to its business conditions taking effect Aug. 25 allow the Bundesbank to block transfers absent assurances that a transaction doesn\u2019t violate financial sanctions or money-laundering rules.<\/p>\n

U.S. ambassador Richard Grenell said Saturday that the U.S. is grateful to the German government \u201cfor recognizing the need to act. Iran\u2019s malign activities throughout Europe are a growing concern for us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fifth consecutive day of anti-regime protests in Iran<\/a><\/p>\n

For the fifth consecutive night, protests against the Iranian regime\u2019s mishandling of the country\u2019s economy erupted in several cities. In Tehran, Iran\u2019s capital, protesters gathered in College Street and chanted \u201cDeath to the dictator,\u201d \u201cMullahs must get lost\u201d and \u201cIranians, shout for your rights.\u201d<\/p>\n

In Qom, protesters are chanting \u201cDeath to the dictator\u201d at Towhid Square and are confronting the security forces that have been dispatched to disperse the protesters. \u201cProud Iranians, show your support,\u201d protesters are chanting.<\/p>\n

According to reports obtained from inside Iran, during yesterday\u2019s protests, security forces have killed one protester in Gohardasht, Karaj, where some of the fiercest clashes between protesters and security forces were reported in previous nights. The victim\u2019s name was Reza Otadi. Videos from yesterday\u2019s protests showed security forces firing at protesters from rooftops. Nonetheless, the people of Karaj came to the streets again tonight to shout their rage against the Iranian regime.<\/p>\n

Political prisoners support expanding Iran protests<\/a><\/p>\n

Iran August 5, 2018 \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>As protests continued for the fifth consecutive day in cities across Iran, the political prisoners of Ardabil prison issued a statement supporting \u00a0the protesters.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have learned that once again the Iranian people, fed up with decades of cruelty and corruption, are pouring to the streets in numerous cities raising their voice and demanding change.<\/p>\n

In Shiraz, people gathered in groups, encouraging protesters to join. \u201cShow your pride,\u201d the protesters are chanting. Protesters are wearing masks to avoid being identified by security forces. \u201cIf we keep our ranks tight, the security forces won\u2019t be able to do anything,\u201d one protester says.<\/p>\n

In many cities, the slogans were directly aimed at Ali Khamenei, the supreme leader and highest authority of the Iranian regime. In Tehran\u2019s Valiasr Street, people were chanting \u201cDeath to dictator\u201d and \u201cSeyyed Ali, it\u2019s time for you to go.\u201d<\/p>\n
