On June 30, 2024,\u00a0 at the Free Iran 2024 World Summit \u2013 Day 2<\/a> hosted at the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI<\/a>) headquarters in Paris, Ad Melkert, former UN Special Representative in Iraq, delivered a speech. Mr. Melkert commended the Iranian Resistance for their persistent advocacy for justice and democracy in Iran. He also cited the numerous UN calls to halt human rights violations and hold perpetrators accountable.<\/p>\n
