Gothenburg, Sweden\u2014August 3, 2024:<\/strong> Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/a>) organized a rally and exhibition to express solidarity with the Iranian Revolution<\/a>. They also protested against the increasing wave of executions carried out by the Iranian regime.<\/p>\n

<\/iframe><\/p>\nOn the eve of the 36th anniversary of the <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/story-of-1988-massacre-in-iran\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">1988 massacre<\/a>, the Iranian community in Gothenburg honored the memory of 30,000 political prisoners who were executed in prisons across Iran by the mullahs\u2019 regime.<\/p>\nIranians demanded the immediate release of all political prisoners from the mullahs\u2019 regime prisons in Iran. They also condemned the brutal repression of Iranian women under the pretext of hijab and supported the resistance of Iranian women against the regime\u2019s oppression with the slogan \u201cwomen, href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/peoples-mojahedin-pmoi-mek-iran\/\">MEK<\/a> supporters in Gothenburg demanded the trial of the mullahs\u2019 regime leaders for crimes against humanity in an international court.<\/p>\nFreedom-loving Iranians in Gothenburg emphasized the Iranian people\u2019s desire for a democratic republic and rejection of any kind of dictatorship, whether it be the mullahs\u2019 regime or a return to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Shah<\/a>\u2019s regime.<\/p>\nSupporters of the Iranian Resistance in Gothenburg called on the Swedish government and the European Union to end their policy of appeasement towards the to defend themselves in their struggle against tyranny and dictatorship.<\/p>\nThey also expressed their full support for the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/viewpoints\/tomorrow-s-iran\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ten-Point Plan<\/a>\u00a0for the future of Iran\u201d led by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/about-ncri\/ncri\/alternative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NCRI<\/a>\u00a0President-elect\u00a0<a
