Geneva, Switzerland\u2014August 16, 2024:<\/strong> Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran(PMOI\/MEK<\/a>) organized a rally in front of the UN headquarters to protest the increasing wave of executions carried out by the Iranian regime. They also called for the immediate release of all political prisoners held in the prisons of the mullahs\u2019 regime in Iran and expressed their solidarity with the Iranian Revolution<\/a>.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Iranian community in Geneva condemned the execution of political prisoner <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/news\/2024\/08\/irans-regime-executed-political-prisoner-reza-rasaei-secretly\/63141\/\" rel=\"\">Reza Rasaei<\/a>\u00a0and renewed their commitment to continuing the struggle against dictatorship until the overthrow of the mullahs\u2019 regime and the achievement of freedom and justice.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-63520\" src=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Geneva-Aug-16-Reza-Rasaei.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"413\" onerror=\"this.src='https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/wp-content\/themes\/hello-elementor\/images\/broken-image-placeholder.gif';this.srcset='https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/wp-content\/themes\/hello-elementor\/images\/broken-image-placeholder.gif';\" srcset=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Geneva-Aug-16-Reza-Rasaei.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Geneva-Aug-16-Reza-Rasaei-300x124.jpg 300w, https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Geneva-Aug-16-Reza-Rasaei-768x317.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On the eve of the 36th anniversary of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/story-of-1988-massacre-in-iran\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">1988 massacre<\/a>, supporters of the Iranian resistance in Geneva honored the memory of 30,000 political prisoners who were executed in prisons across Iran by the mullahs\u2019 regime.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/peoples-mojahedin-pmoi-mek-iran\/\">MEK\u00a0<\/a>supporters in Geneva demanded the trial of the mullahs\u2019 regime leaders for crimes against humanity, in an international court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During their demonstrations, freedom-loving Iranians demanded the United Nations, the Human Rights Council, and member states to refer the case of the regime\u2019s human rights violations to the United Nations Security Council and to hold the leaders of the regime accountable for crimes against humanity.<\/p>\n<p>Iranians demanded the immediate release of all political prisoners from the prisons of the mullahs\u2019 regime in Iran. They also condemned the brutal repression of Iranian women under the pretext of hijab and supported the resistance of Iranian women against the oppression of the regime with the slogan of women, resistance, freedom.<\/p>\n<p>Iranians said that ending appeasement of Iran\u2019s belligerent, terrorist regime, is an imperative to ensure regional, global peace, and security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Iranians also carried banners and placards and chanted slogans against the religious dictatorship regime in Iran and expressed their solidarity with the Iranian revolution. These slogans included the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Iran\u2019s regime holds the record for executions in the world, stop the execution of prisoners and demonstrators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Don\u2019t make human rights a victim of appeasement with the regime of murderers of Iranian people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Death to <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/articles\/2020\/10\/who-is-ali-khamenei-iranian-regime-supreme-leader\/19254\/\">Khamenei<\/a>, death to the dictator, death to the oppressor, be it the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Shah <\/a>or be it the leader (Khamenei).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the demonstrators urged the international community to take a firm policy against the regime\u2019s human rights violations and recognize the Iranian
