Toronto, Canada\u2014August 21, 2024:<\/strong> Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/a>) organized a rally to protest the rising wave of executions carried out by the Iranian regime. MEK supporters in Toronto demanded that the leaders of the mullahs\u2019 regime be tried for crimes against humanity in an international court.<\/p>\n

<\/iframe><\/p>\nThey also called for the immediate release of all political prisoners held in the prisons of the mullahs\u2019 regime in Iran and expressed their solidarity with the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/iran-protests-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Iranian Revolution<\/a>.<\/p>\nIranian community in Toronto marked the eleventh anniversary of the <a href=\"https:\/\/mek-iran.com\/2021\/09\/02\/mek-iran-attack-on-ashraf-camp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">massacre of MEK\u00a0members<\/a> in Ashraf, Iraq, on September 1, 2013.\u00a0At the time, at the behest and command of the Iranian regime, Iraqi special forces, attacked\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/camp-ashraf-liberty\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Camp Ashraf<\/a>, killing 52 members of the MEK and abducting seven others.<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-64041\" href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/peoples-mojahedin-pmoi-mek-iran\/\" rel=\"\">PMOI<\/a> in Toronto, on the eve of the anniversary of the founding of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/pmoi-mek\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PMOI\/MEK<\/a>), celebrated the beginning of the organization\u2019s 60th year since its founding.<\/p>\nFreedom-loving Iranians in Toronto emphasized the Iranian people\u2019s desire for a democratic republic and rejection of any kind of dictatorship, whether it be the mullahs\u2019 regime or a return to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Shah<\/a>\u2019s regime.<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-64044\"
