Gothenburg, Sweden\u2014September 3,\u00a0 2024:<\/strong> On the eve of the 36th anniversary of the\u00a01988 massacre<\/a>, freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/a>) organized a rally in solidarity with the \u201c No to Execution Tuesdays<\/a>\u201d Campaign in Iran\u2019s regime prisons.<\/p>\n

<\/iframe><\/p>\nThe Iranian community in Gothenburg protested against the rising wave of executions carried out by the Iranian regime, called for the immediate release of all political prisoners held in the regime\u2019s prisons in Iran, and expressed their solidarity with the <a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/iran-protests-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Iranian Revolution<\/a>.<\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/peoples-mojahedin-pmoi-mek-iran\/\">MEK<\/a> supporters in Gothenburg demanded the trial of the mullahs\u2019 regime leaders for crimes against humanity in an international court.<\/p>\nFreedom-loving Iranians in Gothenburg emphasized the Iranian people\u2019s desire for a democratic republic and rejection of any kind of dictatorship, whether it be the mullahs\u2019 regime or a return to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Shah<\/a>\u2019s regime.<\/p>\nSupporters of the Iranian Resistance in Gothenburg called on the Swedish government and the European Union to end their policy of appeasement towards the religious dictatorship ruling Iran.<\/p>\nThey demanded recognition of the resistance and the right of the Iranian people and the <a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/t\/iranian-resistance-units\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MEK Resistance Units<\/a> inside Iran to defend themselves in their struggle against tyranny
