Maryam Rajavi\u2019s Remarks to the Conference of the UK Parliament<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

On Tuesday, September 10, 2024, on the eve of the anniversary of Iran\u2019s nationwide uprising in September 2022, a conference titled \u201cHuman Rights in Iran and Securing Accountability: A Call for Justice\u201d was held at the UK Parliament. The event brought together members of both Houses of Parliament from various political parties, along with representatives of the Iranian diaspora. Mrs. Maryam Rajavi the President-elect of the NCRI<\/a> addressed the conference<\/a> and participated via video link.<\/p>\n

In their remarks, members of the UK Parliament highlighted the worsening human rights abuses and the surge in executions under the clerical regime. They voiced their support for the proposal by Professor Javaid Rehman, the former UN Special Rapporteur, who in his landmark report called for the establishment of a mechanism to hold the regime accountable for four decades of atrocity crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide.<\/p>\n

Speakers also expressed their backing for Mrs. Rajavi\u2019s Ten-Point Plan for Iran\u2019s future and urged the designation of Khamenei\u2019s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization.<\/p>\n

The conference continued\u00a0with Maryam Rajavi<\/a>\u2018s remarks to the members of both Houses of the UK Parliament.<\/p>\n
