On Saturday, September 14, members of the Iranian community in Belgium, supporters of the Iranian Resistance, gathered in Brussels<\/a> to commemorate the second anniversary of Iran\u2019s 2022 uprising<\/a>.<\/p>\n

An exhibition showcased the 2022 uprising.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"240914 Uprising 2022 Commemoration Statement\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/VC0zQ9NgJaQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The demonstrators backed the \u201cNo to Execution\u201d campaign, urging the international community to hold the Iranian regime accountable for crimes against humanity. They highlighted the surge in executions under President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/who-is-masoud-pezeshkian\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Masoud Pezeshkian<\/a> and the regime\u2019s growing reliance on the <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/articles\/2023\/04\/irans-regime-irgc-a-state-sponsored-terrorist-organization\/44858\/\" rel=\"\">IRGC<\/a> to maintain power.<\/p>\n<p>A resolution read at the event condemned Supreme Leader Khamenei\u2019s violent suppression of dissent and referenced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohchr.org\/en\/press-releases\/2024\/07\/iran-atrocity-crimes-must-be-investigated-and-perpetrators-prosecuted-says\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UN reports<\/a> labeling the 1980s and <a href=\"https:\/\/iran1988.org\/1988-massacre\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1988 massacres<\/a>\u00a0as genocide. The resolution called for international prosecution of Iranian leaders.<\/p>\n<p>Protesters also demanded the closure of Iranian embassies, citing the regime\u2019s terrorist plots in Europe, including attacks on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/about-ncri\/ncri\/alternative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NCRI<\/a> offices and an assassination attempt on Professor <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/news\/2023\/11\/global-outcry-over-the-terrorist-attack-on-dr-alejo-vidal-quadras\/52373\/\" rel=\"\">Alejo Vidal-Quadras<\/a>. They voiced support for Mrs. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/biography\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maryam Rajavi<\/a>\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/viewpoints\/plan-for-future-of-iran\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ten-Point Plan<\/a>, which calls for blacklisting the IRGC, enforcing UN resolutions on Iran\u2019s nuclear program, placing Iran under Chapter 7 of the UN Charter, and recognizing the Iranian people\u2019s struggle to overthrow the regime.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"240914
