Iran: 450,000 Automotive Industry Workers on the Verge of Unemployment<\/a><\/p>\n

The ongoing conflicts between the regime affiliated automobile makers and component manufacturers, is putting the employment of thousands of workers in great jeopardy.<\/p>\n

The Secretary of the Board of Directors (of component manufacturers), Mazyar Beiglou, has warned the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, of an upcoming wave of unemployment; which is predicted to impact thousands of workers in this industry.<\/p>\n

In his interview with ILNA, Beiglou states: \u201clast week<\/a>, we penned a letter to the Ministry of Labour and Social Affair in which we warned them of an upcoming wave of unemployment that\u2019s set to impact 450,000 workers in the industry\u201d.<\/p>\n

He pointed out to the lost jobs of 14,000 people thus far (i.e., from beginning of the year till now), and that: \u201ca component manufacturing company named Cruise, is also going to dismiss 3500 of its workers later this week\u201d.<\/p>\n

He added that: \u201cafter next month, the 3-month contracts of many workers will not be renewed either\u201d.<\/p>\n

According to Beiglou, component manufacturers are gradually losing their ability in finding the required parts; which means that an \u201c80% reduction in automobile production\u201d is well on its way too.<\/p>\n

Iran, demonstration against selling out the Caspian Sea<\/a><\/p>\n

Dozens of people on Saturday, August 18, gathered in front of the Parliament in Tehran to protest and express their anger at the disgraceful and scandalous cheap selling out of one of the most important and iconic natural resources in Iran, The Caspian Sea.<\/p>\n

The demonstrators in front of the Majlis (Parliament) chanted anti-regime slogans including \u201cdeath to [Hassan] Rouhani, the president of the regime of Iran, and \u201cwe shall fight, we shall win back our Caspian Sea\u201d and \u201cselling out the Caspian is like selling out your honor.\u201d<\/p>\n

Repressive state security and anti-riot guards attacked the protesters in front of the parliament trying to stop the protest.<\/p>\n

Reports indicate that a number of protesters were arrested by the security forces and taken to undisclosed locations.<\/p>\n

\"Iran\"<\/p>\n

As Iran protests continue to soar, the regime faces a dead end<\/a><\/p>\n

In his recent speech, Iranian regime supreme leader Ali Khamenei claimed that he has a solution to the problems that the country faces. Khamenei\u2019s remarks follow a line of rhetoric that other officials such as Hassan Rouhani, the regime president, have adopted, positing that escalating sanctions will unleash new potentials in the country.<\/p>\n

But the realities are much more different from what the mullahs ruling Iran are trying to depict.<\/p>\n

On the economic front, the figures speak for themselves, life on the streets shows how successful you are in implementing your plans, and you can see the truth on the table and in the kitchens of ordinary Iranian households. Rouhani\u2019s plans to control the country\u2019s currency crisis have only backfired, and even according to Khamenei, it has resulted in more than $18 billion dollars and 6 tons of gold being plundered and stolen by people with ties to the government.<\/p>\n

Iran: Ahvaz locals attack regime\u2019s municipality building<\/a><\/p>\n

Locals of the Zoviyeh district in Ahvaz, southwest Iran, clashed with municipality authorities who intended to destroy their homes.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn Thursday, people were seen attacking municipality authorities in the Zoviyeh district of Ahvaz, set fire to a state-owned bulldozer and inflicted severe damage to the municipality building,\u201d said Mojtaba Yousefi, mayor of the third district in Ahvaz.<\/p>\n

\u201cA serious city motivation is necessary to bring an end to the locals\u2019 illegal homes. This is why the municipality has a significant presence,\u201d Yousefi added, emphasizing on the municipality\u2019s decision to continue destroying the poor people\u2019s makeshift homes.<\/p>\n

The state-run Mehr news agency reported on this development as:<\/p>\n

\u201cClash with municipality agents reported; bulldozer set ablaze.\u201d<\/p>\n

From the regime\u2019s media outlets we will not read about skyrocketing prices, inflation, escalating poverty, increasing unemployment, billions of dollars going to waste to meddle in Syria, Yemen, Iraq, and Lebanon, even more, wasted on a completely unnecessary nuclear (weapons) program and ballistic missile development.<\/p>\n

Ahvaz has constantly been a restive city.<\/p>\n
