Australia: MEK Supporters Rally in Sydney and Melbourne \u2013 November 16, 2024<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
Australia\u2014November 16, 2024:<\/strong> Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/a>) organized rallies and exhibitions in Sydney and Melbourne to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the November 2019 uprising<\/a> The events aimed to honor the memory of over 1,500 protesters<\/a> who lost their lives during the regime\u2019s brutal crackdown, while also calling for solidarity with the ongoing struggle for freedom in Iran.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The rallies further condemned the rising wave of executions carried out by the Iranian regime and called for the immediate release of all political prisoners held in its prisons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Iranians in Sydney and Melbourne emphasized the Iranian people\u2019s desire for a democratic republic and their rejection of any form of dictatorship, whether it be the mullahs\u2019 regime or a return to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Shah<\/a>\u2019s regime.<\/p>\n<p>They called for the recognition of the resistance and the right of the Iranian people, along with the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/t\/iranian-resistance-units\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MEK Resistance Units<\/a> inside Iran, to defend themselves in their struggle against tyranny and dictatorship.<\/p>\n<p>Iranian communities in Sydney and Melbourne specifically demanded that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (<a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/articles\/2023\/04\/irans-regime-irgc-a-state-sponsored-terrorist-organization\/44858\/\" rel=\"\">IRGC<\/a>) be designated as a terrorist organization and called
