Demonstration against selling out the Caspian Sea<\/a><\/h3>\n
Iran, August 18, 2018\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Dozens of people on Saturday, August 18, gathered in front of the Parliament in Tehran to protest and express their anger at the disgraceful and scandalous cheap selling out of one of the most important and iconic natural resources in Iran, The Caspian Sea.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"post single\">\n<div class=\"post_content page_margin_top_section clearfix\">\n<div class=\"content_box\">\n<p>The demonstrators in front of the Majlis (Parliament) chanted anti-regime slogans including \u201cdeath to [Hassan] Rouhani, the president of the regime of Iran, and \u201cwe shall fight, we shall win back our Caspian Sea\u201d and \u201cselling out the Caspian is like selling out your honor.\u201d<br>\nRepressive state security and anti-riot guards attacked the protesters in front of the parliament trying to stop the protest.<br>\nReports indicate that a number of protesters were arrested by the security forces and taken to undisclosed locations.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/i\/how-irans-regime-sold-out-caspian-sea\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Caspian Sea legal convention\u00a0<\/a>was signed on Sunday, August 12, after two decades of disputes. This accord will pave the path for the Caspian Sea to be divided between Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkmenistan, and Iran. Further agreements were reached over a ban on ships belonging to countries other than the five bordering states, and the export of the Caspian\u2019s oil and gas exports.<br>\nThe Aktau meeting was where the presidents of these five countries signed this agreement.<br>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/i\/Iran-give-away-caspian-sea-attempt-preserve-mullahs-rule\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mrs. Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, the President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, said: \u201cFor Khomeini, Khamenei and Rouhani, neither water, nor the land, nor the culture, nor the lives, nor the wealth of the Iranian people have any value. Only one thing matters: Preserving the rule of the mullahs, which Khomeini described as the \u2018absolute imperative,\u2019 and for which one can abrogate Islamic edicts, and first and foremost give away the land and water of Iran and its people and massacre its valiant children in the prisons.\u201d She added \u201cIndeed, what could an invader do that the mullahs have not done to Iran and the Iranian people.
