Canada\u2014November 23, 2024:<\/strong> Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/a>) organized rallies and exhibitions in Ottawa, Toronto, and Vancouver held rallies and exhibitions to condemn the Iranian regime\u2019s ongoing crimes against women. The event also highlighted their solidarity with the ongoing Iranian Revolution<\/a>.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The rallies held to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, served as both a commemoration and a call to action. Protesters honored the women who have suffered and perished under the brutalities of both the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Shah<\/a>\u2018s dictatorship and the mullahs\u2019 theocratic regime. Photographs of victims, stories of resistance, and the names of women political prisoners were displayed prominently, weaving a narrative of resilience amidst oppression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Participants at the event shone a spotlight on the plight of women in Iran, particularly political prisoners subjected to torture and harassment. They denounced the Iranian regime\u2019s systematic use of violence as a tool to silence dissent and perpetuate control.<\/p>\n<p>MEK supporters in Ottawa, Toronto, and Vancouver emphasized that women have been at the forefront of the fight for freedom and justice, with their sacrifices igniting movements that refuse to be extinguished. They particularly highlighted the role of women members of the <a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/t\/iranian-resistance-units\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MEK Resistance Units<\/a>\u00a0within Iran and their courage and dedication in the struggle against the mullahs\u2019 regime, describing them as role models for women\u2019s resistance in Iran with the slogan \u201cWoman, Resistance, Freedom.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Iranians in Ottawa, Toronto, and Vancouver called on the international community to support Iranian women\u2019s struggle against the brutal oppression
