Brussels, Belgium\u2014December 9, 2024:<\/strong> On the eve of the occasion of Human Rights Day (Dec 10), freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/a>) gathered in a rally to protest human rights violations in Iran, particularly against Iranian women. They strongly condemned the death sentences imposed on six political prisoners<\/a> associated with the PMOI<\/a>.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Participants in the event expressed their solidarity with the ongoing <a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/iran-protests-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Iranian Revolution<\/a>. They chanted slogans such as \u201cToday Syria, Tomorrow Iran\u201d and \u201cToday Assad, Tomorrow Khamenei,\u201d while expressing solidarity with the Syrian people and celebrating the fall of the dictator, referring to the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad\u2019s dictatorship in Syria.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Supporters of MEK Rally in Brussels Against Human Rights Violations in Iran - December 9, 2024 - 2\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Vk71tA0FnSM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The Iranian community in Brussels declared their support for a democratic republic in Iran, firmly rejecting all forms of dictatorship, including the mullahs\u2019 regime and any potential return to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Shah<\/a>\u2019s rule.<\/p>\n<p>The group specifically called for the closure of the mullahs\u2019 embassy in Belgium and advocated for the blacklisting of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (<a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/articles\/2023\/04\/irans-regime-irgc-a-state-sponsored-terrorist-organization\/44858\/\">IRGC<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, they highlighted the critical role of recognizing the Iranian people\u2019s resistance and the contributions of the <a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/t\/iranian-resistance-units\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MEK Resistance Units<\/a> within Iran in their fight against tyranny and dictatorship.
