Geneva, Switzerland \u2013 January 13, 2025<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
Geneva, Switzerland \u2013 January 13, 2024:<\/strong> The Place des Nations in Geneva resonated with chants of defiance and determination as freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/a>) gathered in protest. Demonstrators condemned the EU\u2019s policy of appeasement toward the mullahs and called for accountability for the regime\u2019s widespread crimes against humanity.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Demonstrators directed their slogans at the regime\u2019s Supreme Leader, <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/articles\/2020\/10\/who-is-ali-khamenei-iranian-regime-supreme-leader\/19254\/\" rel=\"\">Ali Khamenei<\/a>, and its President, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/who-is-masoud-pezeshkian\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Masoud Pezeshkian<\/a>, holding them accountable for escalating repression and systemic abuses. They called for the trial of Khamenei and other regime leaders in international courts for crimes against humanity, including the regime\u2019s brutal crackdowns on dissent and executions of political prisoners.<\/p>\n<p>The crowd also expressed solidarity with the ongoing \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/iran-protests-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Iranian Revolution<\/a>, voicing support for the brave Iranian women leading the struggle for freedom with slogans such as \u201cWoman, Resistance, Freedom.\u201d The demonstrators praised the <a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/t\/iranian-resistance-units\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MEK Resistance Units<\/a>\u00a0operating inside Iran, describing them as the driving force behind the uprising, and called on the international community to formally recognize the Iranian people\u2019s right to resist the regime\u2019s oppression.<\/p>\n<p>Iranians in Geneva emphasized the Iranian people\u2019s desire for a democratic republic and rejection of any kind of dictatorship, whether it be the mullahs\u2019 regime or a return to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Shah<\/a>\u2019s regime.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, protesters urged the European Union and global powers to take decisive action, including the blacklisting of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (<a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/articles\/2023\/04\/irans-regime-irgc-a-state-sponsored-terrorist-organization\/44858\/\" rel=\"\">IRGC<\/a>), which they identified as the regime\u2019s main
