At a January 11 international conference<\/a> in Paris, John Bercow, former Speaker of the UK Parliament, delivered a powerful address spotlighting the Iranian regime\u2019s deepening vulnerabilities and urging strong global support for the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Bercow pointed to the regime\u2019s deteriorating economy, nationwide protests, and widely rejected sham elections as evidence of its instability. He described the regime as \u201cgenocidal, belligerent, and egregious,\u201d asserting that it relies on chaos and repression to maintain control.<\/p>\n

Dispelling claims that no alternative exists, Bercow commended the NCRI<\/a> and its leader, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, for presenting a \u201cdemocratic and morally superior\u201d vision for Iran<\/a>. He outlined the NCRI\u2019s comprehensive plan, including an interim government to oversee free elections and the drafting of a new constitution.<\/p>\n

Bercow denounced Western appeasement policies and emphasized the importance of international pressure, including sanctions and formal recognition of the NCRI as a viable democratic alternative for Iran.<\/p>\n
