Gothenburg, Sweden \u2013 January 18, 2025:<\/strong> Supporters\u00a0 of the PMOI<\/a> held a rally and commemorated the anniversary of Massoud Rajavi<\/a>\u2019s release from the Shah<\/a>\u00a0regime\u2019s prisons in 1979, marking the liberation of the last group of political prisoners. This significant event highlights the struggle for freedom and democracy in Iran.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the gathering aimed to showcase support for the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.iranntv.com\/first-day-of-simay-azadi-29th-telethon-shared-dream-of-free-iran\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">29th Free Iran Telethon<\/a>\u00a0for\u00a0<a class=\"css-1jxf684 r-bcqeeo r-1ttztb7 r-qvutc0 r-poiln3 r-1loqt21\" dir=\"ltr\" role=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/en_simayazadi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">@en_simayazadi<\/a>, taking place from January 17-19, 2025. This telethon seeks to promote financial independence for the Iranian Resistance and amplify the voice of freedom through\u00a0Simay-e Azadi, a crucial platform advocating for human rights in Iran.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Gothenburg, January 18: MEK supporters rally to express solidarity with the 29th Free Iran Telethon.\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zD0qRA37s28?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Freedom-loving Iranians expressed their solidarity with the <span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/iran-protests-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Iranian Revolution<\/a><\/span> and strongly condemned the severe human rights violations in Iran. They particularly highlighted the alarming rise in executions carried out by the mullahs\u2019 regime and called for the immediate release of all political prisoners held in Iranian prisons.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/peoples-mojahedin-pmoi-mek-iran\/\">MEK<\/a> supporters in Gothenburg demanded that the leaders of the mullahs\u2019 regime be tried in an international court for crimes against humanity.<\/p>\n<p>The Iranian community in Gothenburg reiterated the Iranian people\u2019s desire for a democratic republic while rejecting all forms of dictatorship\u2014whether under the mullahs or a return to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Shah<\/a>\u2019s regime.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, they urged the international community to recognize the legitimacy of the Iranian people\u2019s resistance and the right of <a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/t\/iranian-resistance-units\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MEK Resistance Units<\/a>\u00a0inside Iran to defend themselves in their
