Student Protests in Tehran, Iran \u2013 February 2025<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Tehran, Iran \u2013 February 15, 2025:<\/strong> Protests at the University of Tehran have entered their second consecutive day following the murder of Amir Mohammad Khaleghi, a 19-year-old student, near a university dormitory. Students have taken to the streets, condemning the authorities for negligence and chanting slogans such as \u201cDeath to Khamenei<\/a>\u201d and \u201cUniversity security is a tool of the IRGC<\/a>, you are our murderers!\u201d<\/p>\n

Tensions escalated on Friday when security forces prevented students from joining their fellow protesters at the dormitory entrance. Clashes broke out as demonstrators confronted the guards, chanting \u201cDishonorable, dishonorable!\u201d In response, the regime deployed Special Unit forces and plainclothes agents around the male and female dormitories to suppress the protests.<\/p>\n
