\"\" — On February 12, 2025, British lawmakers and human rights activists convened with supporters of the Iranian Resistance<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
On February 12, 2025, the UK\u2019s House of Lords held a session to discuss human rights, freedom, and democracy in Iran. The meeting brought together politicians, legal experts, and activists who voiced strong support for the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI<\/a>) and Maryam Rajavi<\/a>\u2019s Ten-Point Plan<\/a> for a democratic republic. A key point of debate was the proposal to designate Iran\u2019s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC<\/a>) as a terrorist organization.<\/p>\n
Mosa Zahed<\/strong>, founding director of the Middle East Forum for Development, opened the session by stressing the urgency of international action and highlighting the ongoing executions in Iran, including the imminent execution of political prisoner Behrouz Ehsani<\/a>. \u201cThe Iranian people have relentlessly fought for their rights,\u201d he stated. \u201cThe UK must proscribe the IRGC<\/a> as a terrorist organization and stand firmly with the Iranian people\u2019s fight for democracy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last night's session in the House of Lords focused on #HumanRights<\/a>, #freedom<\/a>, and #democracy<\/a> in #Iran<\/a>.
