Washington, D.C. \u2014<\/strong> On Saturday, March 8, 2025, thousands of Iranian Americans and supporters gathered in Washington to commemorate International Women\u2019s Day and demonstrate solidarity with the Iranian Resistance against clerical dictatorship.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"401\" data-end=\"815\">Mrs. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/biography\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maryam Rajav<\/a>i, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/about-ncri\/ncri\/alternative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NCRI<\/a>), delivered a passionate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/washington-rally-and-demonstration-supporters-of-the-iranian-resistance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">keynote address<\/a>, emphasizing the critical role of women in the fight for freedom. \u201cWomen are the force for change,\u201d Mrs. Rajavi said. \u201cThe liberation of women is the prerequisite for the liberation of men. And the overthrow of the Velayat-e Faqih regime will be achieved through women\u2019s leadership.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"817\" data-end=\"1019\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/national-council-of-resistance-of-iran\/\" rel=\"\">NCRI<\/a> President-elect described Iran\u2019s regime as one \u201cthat wages an unrelenting war on its people using organized violence,\u201d advocating for \u201corganized resistance and uprising\u201d as the only solution.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1021\" data-end=\"1255\">\u201cToday, <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/articles\/2020\/10\/who-is-ali-khamenei-iranian-regime-supreme-leader\/19254\/\" rel=\"\">Khamenei<\/a> is drawing battle lines against the Iranian people through relentless executions.
