Sheffield, UK \u2013 March 18, 2025:<\/strong> The Academics in Exile Association, which supports the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/a>), organized a book and photo exhibition to protest the death sentences<\/a> imposed on political prisoners affiliated with the PMOI<\/a>.<\/p>\n
The event shed light on the urgent plight of detainees, particularly Behrouz Ehsani<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0 Mehdi Hassani<\/a>, who face imminent execution. Participants called for the immediate release of all political prisoners held by Iran\u2019s ruling regime.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"603\" data-end=\"830\">The exhibition also highlighted Iran\u2019s worsening human rights crisis, with an increasing number of political prisoners facing execution. Attendees expressed solidarity with the <a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/iran-protests-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Iranian Revolution<\/a>\u00a0and its calls for change.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"832\" data-end=\"1208\">Participants urged the UK government to officially designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (<a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/articles\/2023\/04\/irans-regime-irgc-a-state-sponsored-terrorist-organization\/44858\/\">IRGC<\/a> ) as a terrorist organization and to shut down Iran\u2019s embassy, which they described as a center for espionage and terrorism.
