Iranians and NCRI supporters rally across Europe, condemning executions in Iran and calling for justice and international action.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
April 9, 2025 \u2014<\/strong> In response to the brutal execution of five political prisoners in Mashhad<\/a> by the Iranian regime, freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/a>) and the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI<\/a>) have staged protests and exhibitions across Europe to condemn the clerical regime\u2019s crimes and demand justice.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"551\" data-end=\"849\">In Stockholm, Sweden, Iranian supporters of the Resistance held a rally in front of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. The demonstrators strongly condemned the executions and called on the Swedish government to pressure the regime to halt all death sentences and release political prisoners in Iran.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"851\" data-end=\"1049\">A similar protest was held in Oslo, the capital of Norway, where participants raised banners and chanted slogans denouncing the executions and expressing solidarity with the families of the victims.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1051\" data-end=\"1265\">In Gothenburg (G\u00f6teborg), Sweden, another rally took place, echoing the same demands and amplifying the voices of those who oppose the regime\u2019s escalating use of the death penalty as a tool of political repression.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1267\" data-end=\"1465\">In Berlin, Germany, <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/peoples-mojahedin-pmoi-mek-iran\/\" rel=\"\">PMOI<\/a> supporters organized a photo exhibition and bookstand to inform the public about the recent executions and the broader human rights abuses perpetrated by the Iranian regime.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1467\" data-end=\"1728\">Protesters in Gothenburg and Berlin read <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/ncri-statements\/statement-human-rights\/irans-regime-executes-five-political-prisoners-after-ten-years-in-mashhads-vakilabad-prison\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a statement<\/a> from the Secretariat of the NCRI as well as a message from Mrs. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/biography\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, NCRI President-elect, who condemned the executions as barbaric crimes against humanity and called for international intervention.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1730\" data-end=\"1941\">Meanwhile, in Hamburg, another protest and photo exhibition took place, shedding light on the regime\u2019s atrocities and calling on German authorities to take a firm stance against Tehran\u2019s human rights violations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1943\" data-end=\"2237\">The demonstrations reflect widespread outrage among Iranians in the diaspora and a growing demand for global accountability. Activists are urging the international community to take decisive action, including sanctions and diplomatic pressure, to end the regime\u2019s brutal campaign of repression.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2404\" data-end=\"2947\">Supporters of the Iranian Resistance in Stockholm, Oslo, Gothenburg, Berlin, and Hamburg called for the prosecution of the leaders of the mullahs\u2019 regime in an international tribunal for crimes against humanity. They also urged European countries and the European Union to sever ties with the regime, shut down its embassies \u2014 which serve as centers of terrorism and espionage \u2014 and designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (<a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/articles\/2023\/04\/irans-regime-irgc-a-state-sponsored-terrorist-organization\/44858\/\" rel=\"\">IRGC<\/a>) as a terrorist organization, citing its gross human rights violations and dozens of UN condemnations.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_72262\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-72262\" style=\"width: 1000px\"
