Sydney, Australia \u2013 May 13\u201315, 2025<\/strong>: A three-day human rights exhibition was held outside the New South Wales Parliament House by supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/a>). The event supported the \u201c No to Executions\u201d campaign<\/a> in Iran, condemned the death penalty, and called for the release of political prisoners while raising awareness about the Iranian regime\u2019s intensifying human rights violations.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The exhibition featured images of the martyrs of the <a href=\"https:\/\/iran1988.org\/1988-massacre\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1988 massacre<\/a>, in which over 30,000 political prisoners were executed by the Iranian regime, as well as photos of those killed during Iran\u2019s recent nationwide uprisings, including the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/iran-protests-2019-update\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">November 2019 protests<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/iran-protests-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2022 uprising<\/a>. These images represent only a fraction of the crimes committed by the religious and terrorist dictatorship ruling Iran, shedding light on decades of crimes against humanity and genocide carried out by the mullahs against the Iranian people.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"959\" data-end=\"1245\">The display also highlighted the harsh conditions faced by <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/peoples-mojahedin-pmoi-mek-iran\/\" rel=\"\">PMOI<\/a> members and other political prisoners in Iran, many of whom have been <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/human-rights\/2024\/12\/urgent-action-required-six-political-prisoners-sentenced-to-death-in-iran\/67727\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sentenced to death<\/a> after unjust trials. Among the most urgent cases highlighted were <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/human-rights\/2025\/01\/iranian-political-prisoners-behrouz-ehsani-and-mehdi-hassani-face-imminent-execution-global-attention-urgently-needed\/69687\/\" rel=\"\">Behrouz Ehsani<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/human-rights\/2025\/01\/iranian-political-prisoners-behrouz-ehsani-and-mehdi-hassani-face-imminent-execution-global-attention-urgently-needed\/69687\/\" rel=\"\">Mehdi Hassani<\/a>, both facing imminent execution.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1247\" data-end=\"1477\">Members of Sydney\u2019s Iranian community voiced their strong support for establishing a democratic republic in Iran. They firmly rejected all forms of dictatorship, including theocratic rule by the mullahs and any return to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">monarchy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1479\" data-end=\"1685\">Participants also demanded the closure of the Iranian regime\u2019s embassy in Australia and urged the Australian government to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (<a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/articles\/2023\/04\/irans-regime-irgc-a-state-sponsored-terrorist-organization\/44858\/\">IRGC<\/a>) as a terrorist organization.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1687\" data-end=\"1975\">Organizers emphasized the importance of acknowledging the Iranian people\u2019s ongoing resistance, particularly the courageous actions of the <a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/t\/iranian-resistance-units\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MEK Resistance Units<\/a> operating inside Iran. They reaffirmed the Iranian people\u2019s right to defend themselves in their pursuit of freedom and democracy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1977\" data-end=\"2165\">Australian attendees at the exhibition expressed solidarity with the Iranian people, voicing support for human rights, democratic values, and an end to the brutality of the current regime.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1977\"
