Malm\u00f6, Sweden \u2014 May 31, 2025:\u00a0<\/strong>A powerful rally took place in Malm\u00f6 to condemn the ongoing and worsening human rights violations in Iran, with a particular focus on the alarming increase in executions of political prisoners. The event also expressed strong solidarity with the nationwide truckers\u2019 strike<\/a> currently unfolding in Iran, highlighting the critical role of this labor movement in the broader struggle for justice and democracy.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p class=\"my-0\">Organized by supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (<a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/about-iranian-opposition-pmoi-mek\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PMOI\/MEK<\/a>), the gathering emphasized urgent calls for the immediate abolition of the <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/human-rights\/2024\/12\/urgent-action-required-six-political-prisoners-sentenced-to-death-in-iran\/67727\/\" rel=\"\">death sentences<\/a> and the release of all political prisoners. Participants denounced the Iranian regime\u2019s brutal crackdown on dissent and its systematic use of executions to silence opposition voices.<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-0\">This rally was held during the anniversary week marking the execution of the <a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/about-iranian-opposition-pmoi-mek\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PMOI\/MEK<\/a>\u2019s founders by the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shah<\/a>\u2019s dictatorship in 1972. They voiced their support for the <a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/t\/iranian-resistance-units\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MEK Resistance Units<\/a> inside Iran, recognizing their vital role in the ongoing fight against oppression.<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-0\">The rally also called on the international community, including the Swedish government, to take concrete actions such as closing the Iranian regime\u2019s embassy in Sweden and designating the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (<a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/articles\/2023\/04\/irans-regime-irgc-a-state-sponsored-terrorist-organization\/44858\/\">IRGC<\/a>) as a terrorist organization. These measures were urged to increase pressure on the regime and support the Iranian people\u2019s quest for freedom and democracy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-0\">In conclusion, the Malm\u00f6 demonstration was a powerful expression of solidarity with the <a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/iran-protests-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Iranian people\u2019s struggle<\/a>, the nationwide truckers\u2019 strike, and the enduring legacy of the <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/peoples-mojahedin-pmoi-mek-iran\/\" rel=\"\">PMOI\/MEK<\/a>\u2019s founders\u2014highlighting
