On May 17, 2025, at The Second Free Iran 2025 Conference<\/em><\/a> in Paris focused on shaping a new global strategy for Iran, Sir Alan Meale, former UK Minister and veteran MP, delivered a compelling speech. The event united parliamentarians and political leaders from Europe and North America to advocate for democratic change in Iran and endorse the National Council of Resistance of Iran (*NCRI<\/a>) as a credible alternative.<\/p>\n*
Sir Alan commended Mrs. Maryam Rajavi<\/a> for her pivotal role in galvanizing the Iranian diaspora into a formidable global Resistance movement. He spotlighted the leadership of Iranian women and youth, describing them as the heart of the nation\u2019s push for transformation. Pointing to widespread unrest in Iran, including strikes across various sectors, he declared these as clear indicators of an imminent \u201ctrue revolution.\u201d<\/p>\n
With his extensive background in human rights, Sir Alan called on international labor organizations, such as the UK Trades Union Congress and the ILO, to support Iranian workers.
