Southampton, UK \u2013 June 9, 2025:<\/strong> Members of the Academics in Exile Association, supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/a>), held an exhibition to express solidarity with political prisoners and to call for an end to executions. Petitions were signed in support of the global demand for justice.<\/p>\n
The event highlighted the severe human rights violations in Iran, focusing particularly on political prisoners facing execution. It also called for the immediate release of all political prisoners detained by the mullahs\u2019 regime.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p class=\"my-0\">The exhibition urged the UK government to officially designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (<a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/articles\/2023\/04\/irans-regime-irgc-a-state-sponsored-terrorist-organization\/44858\/\">IRGC<\/a>) as a terrorist organization and to close the Iranian regime\u2019s embassy, which is viewed as a center for espionage and terror activities. Members of Southampton\u2019s Iranian community demanded the international prosecution of Iran\u2019s leaders for crimes against humanity.<\/p>\n<p>The Academics In Exile Association stated on X platform:<br><em>\u201cToday in #Southampton: Activists gathered to show solidarity with political prisoners and call for an end to executions in #Iran.
