At The Second Free Iran 2025 Conference<\/em><\/a> held on May 31, Italian Member of Parliament Emanuele Pozzolo delivered a powerful speech backing the Iranian people\u2019s struggle for freedom. A member of Italy\u2019s Foreign and Community Affairs Commission, Pozzolo voiced unequivocal support for the National Council of Resistance of Iran (*NCRI<\/a>) and Maryam Rajavi<\/a>\u2019s democratic Ten-Point Plan<\/a>.<\/p>\n*
Calling the Iranian regime irredeemable and built on deceit, Pozzolo described it as a \u201cregime of bullies\u201d crumbling under both domestic unrest and international isolation. He cited five nationwide uprisings over the past seven years as undeniable proof of the Iranian people\u2019s deep-seated rejection of the regime in its entirety.<\/p>\n
Pozzolo strongly warned against being misled by the regime\u2019s false narrative of \u201cmoderation,\u201d which he dismissed as a recurring ploy to mask internal crises. He also criticized Tehran-backed or tolerated opposition figures, explicitly naming Reza Pahlavi as a regime-approved diversion.<\/p>\n
According to Pozzolo, the NCRI is the only organized, democratic, and legitimate alternative \u2014 and the regime\u2019s relentless campaign of threats and slander against the group is the clearest sign of its credibility and effectiveness.<\/p>\n
He closed his remarks by honoring those inside Iran who risk their lives for freedom and justice, affirming that the voice of the Iranian Resistance cannot be silenced \u2014 not by censorship, nor by bullets.<\/p>\n
