German Lawmaker Carsten M\u00fcller: Europe Must End Appeasement and Blacklist the IRGC<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n
Speaking at The Second Free Iran 2025 Conference<\/em><\/a> near Paris on May 31, German Bundestag member Carsten M\u00fcller issued a forceful call for a new, uncompromising European approach to Iran. He condemned the regime\u2019s ongoing human rights violations and its role as a key sponsor of terrorism.<\/p>\n
M\u00fcller praised the bravery of the Iranian people\u2014especially women and youth\u2014who continue to rise up against the dictatorship, often at great personal risk. He pointed to the regime\u2019s systematic executions and crackdowns as evidence that current policies of engagement and appeasement have failed.<\/p>\n
*\u201cIt is time to end this na\u00efve strategy,\u201d M\u00fcller stated. \u201cThe Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC<\/a>) is the backbone of this murderous regime and must be recognized as the terrorist entity it is.\u201d<\/p>\n*
He urged Germany and other European nations to take immediate action and officially designate the IRGC as a terrorist organization\u2014a step he described as both moral and strategically essential.<\/p>\n
M\u00fcller noted increasing momentum in the German parliament for a tougher Iran policy, referencing the support of over 300 lawmakers for the Iranian Resistance movement. He praised Maryam Rajavi<\/a>\u2019s Ten-Point Plan<\/a> Plan as a credible, democratic alternative and pledged continued backing for the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI<\/a>).<\/p>\n
