Melbourne, Australia \u2013 June 20, 2025:<\/strong> Supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/a>) organized an exhibition to protest the Iranian regime\u2019s escalating human rights abuses, particularly the death sentences<\/a>\u00a0imposed on political prisoners.<\/p>\n

The event condemned the regime\u2019s ongoing repression and demanded the immediate release of all political prisoners, while paying tribute to the martyrs of the\u00a0Iranian Revolution<\/a>\u2014those executed or killed during uprisings.<\/p>\n

Members of Melbourne\u2019s Iranian community voiced strong support for the establishment of a democratic republic in Iran, firmly rejecting all forms of dictatorship\u2014including both theocratic rule under the mullahs and any return to monarchy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The group called for the closure of the Iranian regime\u2019s embassy in Australia and urged the Australian government to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC<\/a>) as a terrorist organization.<\/p>\n

Organizers emphasized the importance of recognizing the Iranian people\u2019s resistance\u2014especially the efforts of MEK Resistance Units<\/a> operating within Iran\u2014in their ongoing struggle against oppression. They reaffirmed the Iranian people\u2019s right to defend themselves in their pursuit of freedom and democracy.<\/p>\n

Australian visitors to the exhibition expressed solidarity with the Iranian people\u2019s struggle, voicing support for democracy, human rights, and an end to the regime\u2019s brutality.<\/p>\n
