Statement by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI)<\/h2>\n

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi<\/a> declared that now Khamenei must go. She emphasized<\/a> that the Iranian people welcome the end of the war and seek peace and freedom.<\/p>\n

She held Khamenei responsible for an unpatriotic project which, besides costing countless lives, has inflicted a financial loss of at least two trillion dollars on the Iranian people \u2014 a loss that has now all gone up in smoke.<\/p>\n

Mrs. Rajavi reiterated the Third Option, stating: \u201cNo to appeasement, no to war\u2014yes to regime change, i.e., changing the religious dictatorship by the Iranian people and the Iranian Resistance.\u201d She called for moving forward toward a free Iran and a democratic, non-nuclear republic characterized by the separation of religion and state and gender equality.<\/p>\n
