Conference at the European Parliament: Building a Genuine, Modern Democracy<\/h3>\n

On June 18, 2025, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI<\/a>),\u00a0addressed the European Parliament<\/a> in Strasbourg at a major conference titled \u201cBuilding a Genuine, Modern Democracy.\u201d<\/em> Her keynote speech marked a defining moment in global support for the Iranian people\u2019s fight for freedom and democratic transformation.<\/p>\n

Several prominent Members of the European Parliament (MEPs), including Javier Zarzalejos, Antonio L\u00f3pez-Ist\u00fariz White, Petras Au\u0161trevi\u010dius, and Pekka Toveri, as well as former heads of government like Guy Verhofstadt (former Prime Minister of Belgium) and Enda Kenny (former Prime Minister of Ireland), participated in the event. Their messages underlined the growing urgency of Iran\u2019s political crisis and the path forward envisioned by the NCRI.<\/p>\n
